What’s the colour of a bug’s blood?

The blood of humans, animals and birds is red in colour because the cells contain haemoglobin, an iron containing pigment which is red in colour. Haemoglobin is involved in transporting oxygen from the lungs to other parts of the body through blood. The blood of the insect does not carry oxygen, and so it is normally clear or sometimes tinged with yellow or green colour. They do not have blood vessels, but the blood moves in a hollow space under the exoskeleton.
