Sailfish are found in warm oceans. They are a well known species of fish, and are is one of the fastest swimmers. They have a long dorsal fin which gets raised when the fish is ‘sailing’ on the surface or is excited. When the fish is swimming fast, the ‘sail’ helps streamline its motion by lying flat against its body. A sailfish is capable of attaining the speed of more than 110 kilometres per hour.
